Definitely make sure to test out your surround sound systems before the day of the presentation to ensure that everything is in working order. There’s no worse moment of panic for an audio visual technician to endure than watching a presenter get onstage in front of hundreds of people only to realize that their mic isn’t working.
Make sure you can hear everything nice and clear during the setup, and make sure to give yourself some extra time when you’re arranging everything to ensure that you’re able to troubleshoot any issues without going into panic mode.
Seeing Is Believing
Test out your projection system to ensure that it works with the presenter’s laptop before the presentation itself. You don’t want to have to troubleshoot any weird compatibility issues in the middle of the presentation itself, and you don’t want to turn on the projector only to realize that it’s out of focus or that the room is too bright to see the presentation. Make sure you’ve consulted with some commercial theater experts to ensure that everything is in working order before your big event.
