Tips for Designing the Perfect Home Theater Room

Let’s face it; no one wants to go to the movies anymore. Between the expensive tickets, the even more expensive popcorn and drinks, and the rude fellow moviegoers who spend half the time fiddling around on their phones, it’s become more of a headache than a treat to go to a movie theater.

Instead, more and more people are opting for a home theater experience, where you can watch the movies you want in the comfort of your own home, without having to deal with rude people or ridiculously expensive concession stands. In order to ensure that your home theater is suited for a great movie night, you should pay attention to how you set things up.

Arrangement

When you’re setting up your own home theater projector, make sure you take the time to choose the proper placement. After all, a projector isn’t going to do you much good if you place it facing a wall that gets a lot of sunlight splashed on it.

Make sure to arrange your home theater in such a way that the screen area will be nice and dark, so that you can watch your movie without light disturbance. Pay attention to where you place your seats, too. After all, you don’t want to arrange it so that someone has to walk in front of the projector every time they go through the room.

Sound Placement

Arguably the most important aspect of getting your home theater right is correct sound equipment placement. The roar of the explosions or the squeal of the car chases won’t be nearly as exciting if you don’t have optimized sound arrangement of your surround sound system, and poor sound equipment arrangement can even lead to dead spots in your theater room. This is something that is best left to the experts to arrange for you.
